The Arlington School Electives
Although small in size, the Arlington School tries to offer a wide variety of electives equal to those offered in a much larger public or private institution.
It is suggested that a student take two years of a foreign languages. The Arlington School encourages its students to take these two years or more in order to better prepare them for college. The foreign languages offered include:
- Spanish I, II, III, IV
- French I, II, III, IV
The Arlington School tries to offer a range of electives in the arts, considering them one of the most important and yet under-emphasized aspects of an education. Among the arts, we have offered the following electives in the past:
- Art
- Art History
- Yearbook
- Drama
- Photography
- Creative Writing
- Computer
- Physical Education
- Debate
- Film in Literature
- Sociology
